K-Ter Imagineering Inc. was started in the living room of Bob Szabo’s house with $500.00 cash and a credit card. The need for special equipment was obvious to Bob, who has guided K-Ter Imagineering from inception in 1981 to November 2006, when he sold the company to the employees under an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).  Since then, Bob has served as a consultant to K-Ter, and is enjoying a well deserved retirement with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

In 2022, K-Ter Imagineering, Inc. purchased the business of Land Specialties Manufacturing, Inc. which specialized in making Pins and Bushings for the mold industry along with striker plates, crush rings, tools and other things.

Land Specialties began in the Land family basement in 1959.  Gene Land had over sixty years of manufacturing experience and worked up until his passing in February 2015. His son-in-law Keith Rogers had over 45 years with the company, and took over for Gene.

Over the years, K-Ter has honed its skills and attracted qualified personnel. The combination of skilled personnel, state-of-the-art equipment, a 47,000 square foot shop and a dogged determination to make you successful has made K-Ter Imagineering the partner you need to succeed.

“I just wanted to let you know that I am very pleased with your effort and the new line has been running very well. Nice to know that you continue to support us and it shows by you wanting to be here again to make sure the new line is working well. I sincerely appreciate your support and, as usual, support from everyone at K-Ter. No wonder we love doing business with you guys. I think we will see similar results at our new sister plant.”

– Gentek Building Products

“Your innovative design, performance, and engineering of the K-Ter dip tanks performed beyond our expectations. The three units delivered productivity as stated on our high output lines, but the quality improvement and dimensional stability were priceless!”
